Why do you worry?

Is it normal to worry about everything? Yes, day-to-day worries are a normal part of life. In fact, some worry is a good thing.

However, if you start worrying, then there are endless things to worry about. Our problems, the problems of our loved ones, and those of the rest of the world. But guess what, there is a way to systemically end your worrisome life because problems will always be there and you cannot let them affect you. Let us bifurcate our problems into 3 different parts.

Self:

Every individual has to be on the path or take a step to start the journey of finding peace within themselves instead of depending on someone else to get it for you. One has to take the first step, ask questions of oneself, and look for the answer within. The answer is within you; look for it. Nobody else is going to do it for you. Nobody else. You are responsible for your own salvation.

Loved Ones:

All your near and dear ones have their own set of expectations of you. Those expectations may be fair or unfair, and you may or may not be able to solve their problems. One needs to understand that, and once you do, you set the right expectations, be honest, and provide whatever help is required. At the very least, be proactive in your conversations with them. Lack of communication is not going to help.

The World:

The problems of the world are on a much larger scale. There is nothing much that can be done on a personal level, but one could certainly take a stand. Unless you are a billionaire, no one person can solve the world's problems. One needs to accept that. Whatever needs to be done, someone out there is trying to do that job for you, the same way you are trying to solve one problem. Have faith in humanity; solving all the problems is not your job. People are on it. What you can do is look at your own actions and try and make them right in a way that doesn't hurt anybody. You can worry about your own carbon footprint, and you can worry about the problems of the world you've assigned to yourself, but don't over-assign. You are one of eight billion people. Your responsibility is in proportion to that only. The majority of people around you are either stuck with their own problems or the rest of the time goes to loved ones. Only a very small percentage of people have the capacity to worry about the problems of the world. Humanity would be glad, and it is in your debt, for caring.
